SO!
Big night tonight, people. The first major televised movie awards show of the season —c’mon, we all know the People’s Choice Awards don’t count— airs tonight on VH1. Well, that’s all well and good (hashtag #CCMA), but the REAL action will be going on over at CriticsChoice.Vh1.com, beginning at 6pm. We’re working with a company called Spreecast to provide a crazy delicious “second screen experience” (at least, that’s what Mashable called it) for the Critics Choice Movie Awards tonight. What do I mean by that? Well…
Basically, your Uncle Grambo is going to be anchoring a panel of some of the web’s best, brightest and funniest film minds. These names include: The Grizz (DetNews.com), my lovely wife Keanesian (Crushable.com), Will Leitch (NYMag), Melissa Lafsky (The Daily Beast), Dana Stevens (Slate), Kyle Buchanan (Vulture), Logan Hill (GQ), Matt Patches (Hollywood.com), Brooke Tarnoff (NextMovie), Breanne Heldman (NextMovie), Brian Moylan (Gawker), Kevin Polowy (NextMovie), Vince Mancini (FilmDrunk), Julieanne Smolinski (XoJane), and Erik Davis (Movies.com).
Best of all, the singular talent that is Michelle Collins (Best Week Ever) will be hosting from live on the red carpet in Los Angeles, snagging and molesting A-List talent as they walk (crawl?) the carpet.
So come on over to CriticsChoice.VH1.com and watch me recreate Albert Brooks levels of flop sweat as I try to weave the conversation between 15 different commentators on two coasts. And tune-in to VH1 tonight at 8 to see the best and brightest Hollywood has to offer.
