Ratner Replacement of the Day: The Academy announced today that it has tapped Academy Award winner Brian Grazer, co-producer of the recently resigned Brett Ratner’s Tower Heist, to replace Ratner as producer of the 84th Academy Awards.
Tower Heist also happens to star Eddie Murphy, who walked away from his role as host of the Oscars shortly after Ratner’s departure.
No word yet on who will replace Murphy, but smart money is on someone from Tower Heist.
